The organisation of the upcoming Zootecniche Cremona International Exhibition 2024, to be held at CremonaFiere on 28, 29 and 30 November, is now in full swing.
The exhibition is going to grow in terms of the international livestock show, the international cattle auction and the many high-quality conferences held with leading actors from the sector. Further details are provided below.
The 2024 event will therefore maintain the outstanding quality that attracted the enthusiastic participation of breeders, technical experts, the trade and also young people last year, when more than 17 thousand professionals made their way to CremonaFiere, and also received a great deal of interest from institutional players.
Here is a summary of the Zootecniche Cremona International Exhibition 2024:
- number of animals:this year we are again expecting to welcome hundreds of cattle from all regions of Italy and also from abroad, exhibited by farms with the best genetic lines of the Holstein, Red Holstein, Brown Swiss and Jersey breeds. To maintain the dairy show’s outstanding quality, the CremonaFiere partner group of breeders are hard at work with meetings and contacts at the global level to ensure that the world’s finest cattle will again compete at Cremona this year;
- business exhibitors: a large number of companies have already planned and booked their presence at Italy’s biggest international livestock show, an event of international importance;
- conference schedule: this year the Cremona show will again offer the animal husbandry sector the opportunity for learning, training and updates, and also serve as a window on international developments and current debates. The conferences will again be organised in three strands constituting three think-tanks – sustainable animal husbandry, food supply chains, and education and training – and will benefit from partnerships with Universities and research centres to highlight the latest progress in scientific knowledge.
The most eagerly waited projects include:
- the new edition of the conference on genetics, which turned the spotlight on this fundamental topic in 2023;
- a focus on the animal husbandry sector’s communication with consumers, an extremely delicate issue becoming more and more crucial for the trade;
- a space for presentation of the scientific research being undertaken by the main local Universities and research centres;
- third edition of the On the way to Cremona project, the nationwide competition for agricultural high schools, in which more than 1000 pupils take part every year.
- foreign delegations: in partnership with ICE Agenzia, 2024 will again see the organisation of visits by international players, who will also be involved through the international press office.
