A totally renewed exhibit layout, the only international Livestock Show taking place this year in Europe with over 470 heads of cattle from Italy and from abroad, an indoor field testing area with innovative agricultural machinery and a top-level scientific programme with over 40 events.
Cremona reconfirms itself as one of the most influential events for Livestock in the world.
Cremona, November 11th – 2020 was an unprecedentedly difficult year because of the outbreak of the health emergency, but despite all this CremonaFiere stood by breeders’ side with a special edition of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. Now, the only Italian Exhibition specialized on livestock is back, finally again in presence. “In 2020 we organized a digital format of the event since this was the only possible way to be there and to continue our 76 years old tradition. This year’s edition is very much awaited by professionals. In fact, this sector has recently undergone many difficulties and a new impetus is very much needed – says Roberto Biloni, president of CremonaFiere -. We finally have the opportunity to meet each other in person again, to discover the latest technological innovations and to watch live the Livestock Show with excellent heads of cattle. It is a very important chance to convey a strong signal of vitality for the whole sector”.
This year’s edition will feature many news, starting from an innovative exhibit layout where cutting-edge equipment and technologies will be displayed, such as in the Agrinnovation area that will present the most topical themes of the sector so to convey breeders a strategic vision to better develop their business. Major technical news will be presented also in the new field testing area, this year for the first time indoor and on ground. Common thread of the whole Exhibition is innovation, that builds a bridge between the past and the future of agriculture. In fact, two interesting exhibitions of historical agricultural machinery will be on display as symbol of the great cultural and technical heritage that CremonaFiere has been preserving for over 70 years. Livestock events will of course be the beating heart of the Exhibition. These are: an international Livestock Show – being the only one in Europe this year (due to the cancellation of Swiss Expo in Geneve) with over 470 heads of cattle from 75 Italian and international livestock farms taking place in a totally renewed ring with the participation of the Canadian expert judge Callum McKinven; and the international Dairy Auction, organized this year with a new formula presented by the Irish auctioneer Glyn Lucas.
One of the specific features of Cremona International Livestock Exhibition is without any doubt the technical and scientific events programme: over 40 events will take place this year, such as conferences, seminars, workshops and presentations with the involvement of qualified and renowned professionals of the sector. Such a rich events programme has been developed to provide professionals of the sector with efficient tools and solutions to improve their business. Environmental sustainability, process efficiency, strategic vision of the future to enhance the value of the production chain. “We constantly look at internationalization opportunities – explained Massimo De Bellis, director of CremonaFiere – since our mission is creating new business opportunities for Italian companies. For this reason we have an incoming buyer programme bringing to Cremona delegations from Azerbaijan, India, Moldova, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, South Africa and Ghana: countries that are particularly interesting to establish new business relations. The internationalization programme has been outlined in cooperation with ITA Italian Trade Agency and Regione Lombardia. This is the result of all the activities that we carry on during the year to connect Italian companies with the most interesting foreign markets”.
