Three days of conferences and events looking toward the future of animal farming
A focus on young people and on consumer awareness

The conference program once again confirms its value not only from a technical and scientific standpoint, but also in economic and social terms. It continues to represent a precious opportunity for in-depth study, discussion, and debate — not only on technical topics but also on broader issues of interest to the entire community.

This is the perspective underpinning the 2025 edition of the International Livestock Exhibitions’ conference program: three days — November 27, 28, and 29, 2025 — that, as usual, will serve as a stage for events designed to capture the attention of both seasoned professionals and young people entering livestock-related professions, as well as observers of the social and cultural trends shaping the national and international agri-livestock sector.

In the Cremona exhibition halls, meetings will take place that are distinguished by their openness to technical and scientific issues, while also addressing the needs of young people as they face new professional paths and engage with livestock-related studies.

CremonaFiere presents itself at the 2025 edition with many partnerships — from well-established collaborations with Sivar, which will host its traditional Buiatrics Update Day; with CREA; with specialized magazines; and with Ruminantia, offering a rich program — to new, more technical sessions aimed directly at breeders through the “Ask the Expert” format.

The collaboration with the breeders’ committee also plays a key role in shaping the conference program. Alongside organizing the livestock shows — a cornerstone of the fair’s DNA — the committee will present sessions and discussions for breeders, ranging from genetics to barn management.

Once again, young people will play a major role through various initiatives.
First among them is the “On the Way to Cremona” competition, which has enjoyed great success among agricultural schools and beyond. It returns on the opening day — November 27 — with an event featuring the awards ceremony. This marks the conclusion of a learning journey that students have been pursuing with their teachers since early autumn, under the guidance of a technical committee composed of university professors and experts.

A new initiative this year is a series of hands-on workshops for schools, organized by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences) on the morning of November 27. These demonstrations will allow high school students to experience firsthand how technology plays a growing role in agri-livestock activities.

As this year marks the fair’s 80th edition, a special session will once again celebrate women in livestock farming with the format “Not a Man’s Job” — now in its third year — which continues to generate great interest and curiosity, even among those outside the sector.

There will also be a focus on the swine industry with several initiatives organized by Confagricoltura Lombardia, as well as numerous technical sessions hosted by companies in the feed, product, and service sectors related to livestock farming.

In the agri-food field, the Milk.it and Meat.it seminars return, confirming their popularity among professionals in food processing.

The delicate relationship with consumers will be the focus of the workshop “The Taste of Knowing”, which will present the results of a survey carried out by CremonaFiere’s Observatory for the second consecutive year. The study aims to assess consumer knowledge and awareness of milk and dairy product topics.

Finally, as part of its outreach and educational mission, the fair — a true professional reference point — also engages the local area through the Cremona Farm Square initiative. This “off-site” event involves local businesses and consumers alike, raising awareness about the importance and quality of the primary sector.
