LIVESTOCK FARMING DOESN’T STOP: 20% GROWTH FOR THE ONLY INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO THE DAIRY SECTOR

The 79th edition of the historical International Livestock Exhibition will take place at Cremona Fiere from November 28 to 30, 2024.

The leading international Exhibition for the dairy sector is a not-to-be-missed appointment for the whole industry. The 79th edition of ZOOTECNICHE Cremona International Exhibition will be held at CremonaFiere from November 28 to 30, 2024.

Over 200 exhibitors from 20 countries will represent the entire dairy supply chain, offering a chance to discuss all the main topics of the sector from genetics to feed, going through renewable energies, equipment and services for livestock farming.

Zootecniche Cremona International Exhibition, the sole specialized event for the dairy sector, also boasts a remarkable international character with international buyers coming from all over the world, invited to the Show thanks to the long-established collaboration with ICE Agenzia (Italian Trade Agency).  Over 80 international delegates from 20 countries will attend the upcoming edition. They come from: Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Poland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, United States, South Africa, Hungary, and Uzbekistan.

Next to the wide exhibit repertoire, a rich events programme with 70 events will run through the three Exhibition days, thus confirming the key role played by the Exhibition in attracting highly specialized stakeholders for discussion on livestock farming.

“Zootecniche Cremona International Exhibition proves to be, once again this year, the only international event dedicated to the dairy sector. But what makes it even more unique in its kind is the active participation of breeders – explained Roberto Biloni, President of CremonaFiere -. They are key players of the entire event project but also of the whole industry. This is an Exhibition of breeders for breeders where key issues such as farm management, animal welfare, economic aspects, alternative energy production, and circular production.”

Despite the challenging situation caused by the Blue Tongue disease, Zootecniche Cremona International Exhibition, as central hub for the whole sector, is the only Exhibition of the sector ready to start with a programme able to meet breeders’ interests with heads of cattle confirmed to be present on the show ring.

Among the events with animals on the show ring, on Thursday, November 28, there will be a judging competition for agricultural schools, a judging course and a shearing demonstration.

On Friday, November 29, the Breeder Show Award will celebrate all breeders who carefully and lovingly prepared their heads of cattle for this appointment. Next to this, the Breeders Award “Quaini-Bosio” will be presented and a show in the ring will take place. To conclude the day, participation certificates will be given to breeders registered to this 2024 edition.

Much space is given, as usual, to young generations with the competition called “On the way to Cremona”, an important project for agricultural schools that actively involves students shining the spotlight on them.

A new addition this year is the “Next-Generation Handling Competition,” open to all young Europeans, scheduled for Saturday, November 30. On the same day, the “Meeting Judge Workshop,” a morphological evaluation workshop, will be led by U.S. judges Nathan Thomas and Jenny Thomas, followed by the Breeders’ Party in the livestock ring.
